2011 Ferrari 458 Challenge - Front Angle View
Vinda poucos meses após o Frankfurt Motor Show 2010 inauguração da Ferrari 458 Italia em que se baseia, o Ferrari 458 Challenge introduz uma série de modificações importantes para adaptá-lo para utilização em competição.

A injeção direta de 4,497 cc V8 continua a ser estritamente em sintonia de produção, com uma potência de 570 cv a 9.000 rpm. Dito isto, as modificações foram feitas para as relações de transmissão e calibragem de sua dupla embreagem F1 caixa para garantir maior torque em rotações mais baixas. O Ferrari 458 Challenge também é equipado com o diferencial eletrônico E-Diff já empregado na versão de estrada, a primeira pista para os carros somente da Ferrari.
O novo Ferrari 458 Challenge também tem uma suspensão específicas set-up com buchas sólidos de alumínio, amortecedores molas mais duras, com uma taxa única, noz-centro jantes 19 "de corrida, pneus de maior dimensão, Pirelli e uma altura ao solo reduzida em 30 milímetros todo. Também é equipado com a nova geração de freios Brembo CCM2 que estreou na 599XX, carro da Ferrari de laboratório experimental extrema, e que são integrados com o sistema ABS que possui duas configurações - baixa aderência e alto desempenho para superfícies secas.
