Folclore sobre o óleo
Os mecânicos possuem muitos conceitos errados a respeito dos óleos. Um exemplo é o uso do lubrificante sintético. Esse produto só se justifica em carros com alto desempenho. Em um motor mais velho, não há qualquer benefício. Por outro lado, um propulsor antigo só tem a ganhar com um óleo mineral mais aditivado, como um SJ ou SL. Outra lenda é o uso de óleo mais grosso quando o motor começa a consumir muito lubrificante. Isso só aumenta o desgaste do propulsor. Nos casos em que o consumo está associado ao desgaste, o óleo é um paliativo, nunca uma solução. Nenhum óleo corrige defeito. Recomendo trocar o óleo a cada 3000 ou até no máximo 5000 km e não rode 20000 com o mesmo óleo como recomendam os fabricantes, isto pode danificar o seu motor.
